Of the 20 or so NLP books I've read, this is the clearest that actually takes you through specific steps that get results. If you want more theory, I recommend "Introducing NLP" by O'Connor and Seymour. But if you want experience, this is it.

This book is a great introduction to NLP. It covers the fundamental principles and techniques in a concise manner. There is no fluff, which is something I appreciated. It can be used by novices to learn the "big picture", and as a refresher by those who are familiar with NLP. There are many exercises, and the step by step instructions are clearly written. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in learning and experiencing what NLP has to offer.

This is one of THE most powerful and effective NLP books to date. It teaches some theory, BUT NLP isn't abot theory, it's about what works - for YOU, as an individual.A key tenet ("presupposition") of NLP is that *nothing* works for *everybody*, and *nothing* works for *anybody* *all* of the time. You have to try things out until you find the exercises and methods that work "for you". And even then you may find that they work better some days than others. After reading quite a few books on NLP, I'd say that this is the nearest thing you'll find to the essence of NLP short of going on a "top notch" training course. Read the book, and DO do the exercises, but only when you're ready to progress your life to a whole new level. For those who are ready for something better - highly recommended. If, on the other hand, you're really not sure if you're ready to step out of your "comfort zone", then stay clear of this book. Once you've read it, you'll never be able to put things back the way they were.

This is a great book for people who want to learn some NLP and test the effectiveness of NLP techniques before immersing themselves deeper.

The book is entirely practical - it is loaded with 43 different exercises / experiments you can do to improve different aspects of your life.

The book has some essential NLP techniques - such as Swish pattern, Fast Phobia Cure, Creating Reapport, Circle of Excellence, Reframing, some basics related to working with Time-Lines - that everyone can benefit from learning and using.

By the time you're done going through the exercises in this book, you're bound to become more empowered and know how to access your inner resources and run your mind and neurology to reach your goals and remove some obstacles from your path.

This book is a great introduction to the world of Neuro Linguistic Programming, or NLP. It not only includes a primer to bring you up to speed on what NLP is, but explains some of the more advanced techniques and methods of programming. About the only downside of this book is the fact that exercises appear in the middle of most chapters, which tends to cut into the "flow" of reading. Still, the exercises appear in a quite logical sequence, and you get used to it after the first few chapters.Despite its choppy presentation, the book is extremely readable, entertaining and leaves one with a strong understanding of the fundamentls of NLP itself. For those of you who are new to NLP, this is definitely the first book that I would read.

Sorry, I don't know about the NLP Cd;s you are referring to, but I am a long term Holosync user and extremely happy with the program.

Holosync is by no means some quick fix, and you can go through some rough times with it.
But... In my opinion, it is absolutely invaluable. Whatever your "stuff" is. Holosync will make it come to the surface. Not pleasant all the time, but, you do get rid of the stuff.

I've seen significant gains the 6 years I've been on the program. I would not go back to how and who I was even if someone gave a lot of money :)

But, you can't be impatient doing it. You don't get to choose what issue to deal with fiorst. Your inner mind does that.
Sometimes people don't see gains or results for quite some time...

It is a wonderful way to learn that "now" is OK and there is no hurry. That in itself is worth a lot...

Sorry I can't be of more help since I don't know the NLP stuff.
IMO, it is hard to compare Holosync with anything else, becasue I don't know of anything that does what HS does.

I'm an EFT practitioner, but one can't say the EFT is vetter or worse than HS. It is like comparing puppies with golfballs :)

If you are starting with HS, I do believe they give a full years money back guarantee, so you would be covered if you change your mind.

I read a review that said Rintu's Black Book of Covert Persuasion is really good, but it actually started out great. If you're a reader like me, you've probably flown through a few books that are "real page turners." I'm a therapist, and this book was bought because I wanted stronger ways to get resistive clients to buy into action rather than just complaining and arguing against good ideas. The day I read the first chapter, I used a verbal twist on one such client, and he started an action plan within minutes. I thought "whoa, that was so easy it's a little scary but cool." You too will get a little grin when you see how this easy little read bounces fun ideas for you to get the stuff you want without having to work so hard. Rest assured, being "covert" is not an issue of being sneaky with people. It's about how some costly bad habits in the way things are said are easy to change. When you realize the power behind the right turn of a phrase, the personal benefits will pop-up as clear and available to everyone. In fact, that is why I'm writing this review. The bottom line is to get Rintu's " know how" and then practice until you're in the habit of being a persuasion superstar. As a reader, I suggest turning the pages of this book s l o w l y. I've said it started out great for me. I took my time, and now it is a Favorite. I've recommended it to my sister and a close friend and they love it too. Plain and simple, when you go buy the book each chapter builds up results you'll be amazed by and motivated to share. Have a good day, wherever you are.

As a reader, I suggest turning the pages of this book s l o w l y. I’ve said it started out great for me. I took my time, and now it is a Favorite. I’ve recommended it to my sister and a close friend and they love it too. Plain and simple, when you go buy the book each chapter builds up results you’ll be amazed by and motivated to share. Have a good day, wherever you are.

Awful writing style, atrocious editing (or lack thereof, rather), amateur formatting, ridiculous examples.

It reads like a lame brochure this guy threw together in a weekend just to say he had published a book.

I don't really like leaving negative reviews, but in this case I feel like it's my duty to warn you. I was fooled by all the high ratings this book had. I hope the same doesn't happen to you.

This book was not written by someone with a firm mastery of the English language. When you add to that how he tries to use an NLP technique in the text where he's explaining that same technique to you, it makes this book a complete pain to read. (It's a somewhat novel idea, but it's not at all a well executed one.)

That's really all I have to say about this book. It's poorly written. A pain to read.

The question isn't whether or not this tiny book is worth $25, because it irrefutably isn't worth much at all, unless of course you enjoy paying a book company $25 for them to advertise Rintu's book to you.

That's right, the last half or so is mostly review and a sales pitch to purchase his on-line courses and to attend his seminars where he can rake in more of your money.

Now I agree with others who say there is some good material in here. But the question isn't if there are a few good patterns to be learned, but if this book was well written and worth the price. Except for Rintu's friends that are leaving reviews up here, any sensible person would give this an extremely poor review.
